@nitrrogen__ @skunk1489 From what I can tell, Patton did what he could in his capacity as military governor to mitigate the policies of denazification, so much so that his subordinates and superiors alike suspected he was trying to undermine the occupation entirely.

@nitrrogen__ You also neglect to mention that it was wholly a temporary measure of placating the locals, after the Soviet invasion and occupation. The impact that it left on Ukrainian national identity and even more so Ukrainian nationalism, is negligible.
